Customer Reviews

So far, so good...5
I puchased this washer (although in white, not blue) from the Maytag store at 5PM on a Friday and by 9AM on Saturday it was up and running in my laundry room. So far I am very impressed by:
1. How quiet it is when running
2. How little water is uses
3. The quiet spin cycle (it doesn't vibrate the whole house as I had read elsewhere)
4. The tiny amount of detergent used
5. The promptness, courtesy, and efficiency of the delivery folks
6. Seems to be less lint and dog hair in the dryer filter
7. No mold or smell after using - although I do leave the door ajar to let it dry/air out
8. The pedestal brings the machine up to a nice height and is great for hiding all those little things that accumulate in the laundry room. The tall bottles of detergent or softener don't fit but all manner of other things store nicely.
9. Only $15 for the Maytag folks to remove and recycle (if running) the old washer
10. King size comforter fit comfortably and was well washed
11. Seems to rinse better than my old Kenmore washer. Less detergent residue - but it maybe the HE detergent - don't know which is doing it.
12. High spin cycle removes more water so my dryer is not working as hard or running as long.

Since installation, I have washed just about everything (laundry, bedding, towels, throw rugs, dog blankets, curtains) in my house. Usually, I only do one or two loads a week so I'm not sure the energy savings will be realized too soon, but a buck is a buck. It has done a great job and I am quite pleased with the purchase.
